Yeah just love it when an RPG gives you a surprise boss fight, moments after you already had what you thought was a boss fight, and doesn't have any healing item drops inbetween so you immediately die.

This trope isn't limited to RPGs. It happens in a lot of games. Action games, adventure games, etc. It's a staple.

Boy, I had the time of my life playing Mario RPG last night until like 2am.

 

Seriously though. Just hearing all these songs again and reading the dialogue really takes me back.

 

It's fantastic.

 

I guess I went into Mario RPG completely blind, cause I did not expect to get Bowser in my party.
