Brie Larson is fine as Samus. You wouldn’t see her for like 90% of the movie, but maybe they would add more zero suit Samus in a live action film.

  2. Where's my live action Kirby movie

At least the director is a fan of the series

Okay? I'm a fan of Persona 4 but I definitely don't need to be directing any movie for that

Link should be mute and only communicate through sign language.

I wonder if they'll try loosely adapting a game or make it fully original. I've always wanted an Ocarina adaptation but it might be too messy.

It shows the director actually knows the source material. Whenever a film is directed or written by someone who doesn’t know the source material it is always trash.

Dragonball Evolution for example. The writer said he had never watched the anime or read the manga and accepted the job for money. The finished product is one of the worst films ever made.

Counterpoint: Craig Mazin’s body of work pre-Chernobyl

I feel like they have to do an original story. There is no way you can condense any of the games down to a 2 film without butchering the story. Unless they also copy LOTR and do a trilogy from the start. Which is what they should do tbh, but it sounds like it’s just a 1 film story right now.

Not to you, I’m just saying some people are jobbers until they aren’t.

Oh true. Yeah his work for the parody films were not good but Chernobyl was one of the best shows that year, as is the last of us show.

If Nintendo decides to have a story revolving kid link and kid Zelda I have no idea who would be a good a cast. Hopefully the have link and Zelda be in their late teens or 20s though.

If at some point Link doesn't say "Excuse me, princess!", we riot.

What story do you guys think they adapt, or do they come up with a new one filled with bits of multiple games?

I think it would be better to create a new story that would fit a 2 hour narrative, opposed to crunching a narrative from a 15 to 45 hour game to fit in a 2 hour film.

Ganondorf writes counterfeit checks and Link has to travel across the world to chase him down and bring him to justice.
