Not mentioned in the original announcement is that Derek Connelly is the writer for the movie. So basically this movie is doomed to be shit

 

I need to remain optimistic. Surely Miyamoto wouldn’t agree to work with them if they didn’t understand the Zelda franchise.

There's absolutely nothing good about a live action Zelda movie being made by Avi Arad.

Live action sucks enough, but you add Arad into the mix and there's no hope.

 

Miyamoto wasn’t a producer for that film, plus Nintendo learned their lesson with that. That’s why we didn’t get another Nintendo film for almost 30 years.

 

Arad at least has a few good movies. Connelly doesn’t lol

 

Eh.... I hate to be that guy but he co-wrote Kong: Skull Island and Detective Pikachu. And say what you will about the Jurassic World films, but they made a lot of money, so I can see why he'd get the job.

 

No, but he went on record as his one regret being that it was too much like the game.

 

But then he produced a Mario movie 30 years later that was everything from the game

 

The first Jurassic World and detective Pikachu aren’t that bad, but rise of Skywalker. That is dreadful

Shit yeah that’s fair. I guess I should’ve looked him before for talking shit. I only knew him for the Jurassic World movies and having a part in The Rise of Skywalker, so can’t say I’m a fan since TROS personally offends me at how bad it is

Live action is a fucking tragic decision

 

Live action Zelda SHOULD be amazing. If it’s shot on location in New Zealand or a place like that. Big set pieces. The wardrobe and costumes should look great live action as well.

Out of all Nintendo IPs I think Zelda and Metroid are best fit for live action.

Exactly as it should be. A Zelda film in the vein of the greatest film trilogy ever. It’s full circle considering Miyamoto said LOTR was an influence for the of legend of Zelda.

In a just universe we'd just have a new shiny console and a 4K Zelda game not this movie trash

 

All adaptations of Nintendo IP that are not Mario/DK/Kirby should only be anime or at least animated in like a Spiderverse style or something..

 

I'm cool with something of LOTR quality with a Zelda story and characters, that'd actually be awesome haha
