Finished the Cave of Flames in Minish Cap, really enjoying this one so far

 

Played the first two levels of the Super Mario Wonder demo at Best Buy today and it was fun, nothing revolutionary in terms of the series but I’ve always liked those games

 

I’m so hyped

Getting a little emotional reading some of those reviews. Multiple people saying its better than World, one person saying it could be considered Super Mario Bros 5.

What a time.

 

That to me is weird though. There is this tendency these days to somewhat dissmis the New Super Mario Bros games, but those games were fucking awesome, especially the first one.

I liked those games and have lots of good memories playing co op with my sister, but I get what they mean. They were more nostalgia trips than really pushing the series forward.

 

new super series was real boring imo very little replay value there and you can beat them in one sitting :/

 

I mean, semi-competitive co-op 2D mario wasn’t innovative?

 

IMO no, not at the same level. Those games werent exactly overflowing with ideas.

Finally beat the main story in totk.

The journey to Ganondorf was honestly harder than the final battle with Ganondorf. Luckily I brought plenty of strong shields (I broke like 4 during the final duel phase), plenty of anti-gloom stuff, plenty of full restores, and a bunch of triple attack damage meals, and i beat him in one go without having to even start over.

My battery died in handheld mode during the final cutscene. Glad I finished this before I can sink into Wonder.
