Doesn't it not come out until November? Or is there a demo?

Gold is great, but I remember being surprised it launched on 3DS and not just released on Switch because it came out a full year into the Switch's life.

I swear I got to her room with no health and no food and tried for literally two hours out of sheer arrogance before finally loading an older save going back to town to heal and stock up and trying again lol. got it first try when properly prepared

TOTK is so much better than BOTW it isn’t even funny I’ll probably never go back to BOTW at this point tbh

It’s true and the sky WAS impactful. Don’t get the opinions otherwise. I love exploring up there.

I haven't touched TOTK in a little bit and I'm kinda scared to see how optimized all the flying machines are now.

Can we all at least admit the depths in TOTK is miserable. If there are any additional shrines or quests down there I need to do they will never be completed

I think the depths are fine and even pretty fun for what is essentially a massive optional zone outside of a couple hours TOPS of main quests that take place down there

I'm of mixed opinion on the Depths. I think they could have benefitted from having a bit more variety in landscape, especially if they're meant to be an inversion of the surface.

There are some landmarks in the Depths that are interesting, but a lot of the terrain feels very much the same.

I'll also say that if it weren't for being able to game the system with the hoverbike, I would still be there even now frustrated at how huge the area is. To say the hoverbike is essential to traversing the Depths is not saying nearly enough.

I would hardly call this gaming the system, being able to build stuff like a hover bike is essential to exploring the entire game including the depths. I’d go so far as to say the depths flat out wouldn’t exist without the ability to build vehicles. There’s a reason random hubs with vehicle building materials pop up every so often when you’re exploring

I think the game is much better than BOTW but I actually agree that the Sky was pretty fucking empty and repetitive.

I thought the dungeons were pretty good in TOTK as well. Except for the depths dungeon. That actually zapped some of the fun out for me and I stopped playing the game for a few days when I had played it nonstop for a couple weeks. I finally convinced myself I have to complete it so I followed a YouTube guide to make sure I finished it as quickly as possible and never have to go into the depths again.

I say gaming the system because the hoverbike is not an official blueprint in the game and is only possible by taking advantage of certain properties of the tools involved. I guarantee Nintendo did not intend this.

I’m also expecting the next Zelda to be something completely new. Not sure where they go from here though. They’ve done pretty much all they can with the open world formula which is why they said they won’t make any DLC, but they can’t abandon the open world aspect.
