I'm not playing a demo for that game. I'm buying it and binging it in a weekend.

 

I know lol But over time it became part of the Mario universe regardless, and it wouldn’t surprise me if some of the weirdness in Wonder was inspired by it

 

Same, but it comes out two days after my birthday so I don’t even have to buy it myself, the stars align

 

Yeah and that’s actually not very uncommon. Plenty of games started out as one IP and then have it exchanged with another one in the process. We just don’t know about it. Another famous one is Assassin’s Creed 1, which was supposed to be Prince of Persia, if I remember it right.

 

Wasn't AC Origins also supposed to be Prince of Persia? Or a new IP? I seem to remember something like that, but too lazy to Google

The Mario switch OLED came out today. Probably the best looking OLED imo.

 

My copy of Detective Pikachu Returns is out for delivery right now.

 

First reaction to playing a Detective Pikachu game: this is like dumb G rated LA Noire and I kind of like it. Could do without all the long tedious exposition though.

 

dang Detective Pikachu Returns is short. I just started playing last night and I am already on chapter 3 of 5.

 

Oh and yes there is a metajoke about the movie in this game.

 

I started Minish Cap on the online GBA service on Switch. It really fun so far. It has a classic feel, but the GBA graphics make it more modern.

 

What I loved a lot about Minish Cap is how Capcom didn't feel beholden to a lot of the traditional Zelda tools, and seemed inclined to get inventive and put their own spin on things, which made the game feel really fresh to me.

Ain't gonna lie, I wish Nintendo let Capcom make more Zelda games after the Seasons duo and this one, but alas, it was not to be.

 

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is one of the best Zelda games.

 

Wasn't made by Capcom, which immediately subtracts points from its value.

 

The Capcom Zeldas are still some of my favorites. Their style and mechanics are so endearing. At the very least, I hope we continue to get new top-down Zelda over time, because nothing quite beats it in my book.

 

I've been meaning to play minish cap on my Anbernic emulator

 

Links Awakening was too hard for me, am I doomed?

 

The real question is which is better:

Oracle of Ages or Oracle of Seasons?

 

Seasons was what I played first so it ends up being my favorite for that reason, but I think Ages has a cooler core mechanic.
