That’s easily the worst direct i’ve ever seen haha

 

F Zero fans must feel like they just got slapped in the face

 

Any direct that doesn't have Nintendogs is a bad direct

 

Because leaks are dumb and people can guess 1000 things and be right

 

They didn't explain how I can download Metroid Prime 2 and Mario Galaxy 2 later today.

 

Hell yeah I’ve never played Thousand Year Door, excited for that.

 

They're clearly gearing up for the next console

 

Yup, console is on life support. I think they save the zelda ports now for the new system just because it doesn’t sound like they’re remotely close to releasing a new title. Would be good for holiday 24

 

All the Mario games look cool, including Peach. I hope that becomes her Mansion.

Audibly gasped at Another Code (I miss Cing) and Eastward DLC. "Oh shit" at Paper Mario.

Audibly gasped at F-Zero at first, but then took it back because of course it's a battle royale of the first game, because that franchise is cursed.

The fact that no one else is talking about Another Code disappoints me.

 

I've sucked ass in every one of those "99" games. I'm sure F-Zero will be no different.

everything else is eh. Not a great direct but whatever

 

Also, the Prince Of Persia and Vanillaware games look dope.

Down for a Spy x Family game.

Intrigued that all these League Of Legends spinoff titles look so dramatically different and all look like a fun time.

 

I swear to God, if Nintendo never makes another Another Code game because you all slept on it.

 

Also forgot about the Contra remake. Looks fun. Here for it.

 

Was most everything a digital only release?

I am just worried because I heard speculation that the Switch 2 might only have backwards capability for digital only and not physical.

 

I’ve heard the opposite and that it will be fully backwards compatible, if that makes you feel better

 

Another Code was cool, but we should have gotten Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and it's sequel Last Window: The Secret of Cape West.

Cing was the best. They took full advantage of the DS.

 

Hey, if Another Code does well, maybe we'll get that. Between this and Detective Club, it looks like Nintendo is taking a well-deserved look at their adventure history.

 

Some other things from the Direct I forgot to mention.

- The Contra remake being done by WayForward sounds like a great choice to me.

- The Tomb Raider remakes are an interesting thing, and I kind of wonder how they'll hold up and if any more remakes are in the cards. Also, can't find anything indicating they're coming to anything other than the Switch, which if true, is also interesting.

- Not a huge fan of the new WarioWare involving motion controls. Kind of hope there's a way around that, but if there isn't, I'll probably still check it out as I love the series.

 

I was a huge fan of the first one, not so much of the Wii game

 

WarioWare with motion controls is the best version of WarioWare.

Case in point: WarioWare Smooth Moves for Wii.

Incredibly fun game.

 

Also did anyone look at that logo for the Tomb Raider remaster? Horrendous.

 

I didn't really think anything about the logo. It's the old logo with 1 2 3 Remastered under it.

 

Nah, the best are the ones where I can sit back and enjoy them.

 

Yeah, this was the impression I got as well. I'm stoked more people will get to play TTYD, but highlighting a seemingly by-the-numbers remake as their last announcement indicates that anything massive will be coming to Switch 2 next year. That said, I hope that's a sign of things to come for the Paper Mario franchise. Would love to see it return to its roots, even though I enjoyed Color Splash and Origami King well enough.
