Right but the game I'm comparing it to was also a Wii U game

the new super mario bros series of games were routinely criticized for not really bringing anything new to the table (despite the name) and retreading old ground throughout its lifespan so I’m pretty confident that won’t be the case here

That's fair, I'll probably get it regardless, I guess I'm just holding out for a 3D world sequel :P

The art style is so much better than that trash from the New series

It was fine for a Wii game though

Can’t stop thinking about those animations in Wonder. I love 2D Mario but I agree that the “New” series was sterile, and this feels like a course correction.

All I care about is backward compatibility so I will choose to accept this leak

These have been verified many times over. I am not sure if this is a new source or just a rehash for clout but that’s where we are at right now :)

oh the FF7R stuff is complete garbage, even the fastest handheld SoC right now (AMD Ryzen Z1) is producing sub PS4 results, especially at acceptable power consumption.

Maybe they’re talking about how it runs FF7R when docked

More likely it’s because many people can’t tell the difference on small screens lol

Hahaha no. It is still a tiny SoC dealing with the thermal limitations of being inside a handheld device. No amount of DLSS can fix this.

MAYBE the ps5’s 60fps mode at 30fps with heavy upscaling. MAYBE.

    Interested in the different cartridges.

Probably a little bit bigger, but the slot accounts for the grooves/ports for the old switch carts as well inside of it

Oh yeah, that’s right so the new ones probably can’t be too drastic of a change.

Unless they did something like the DS where one port was on the top and another port was on the bottom, but I feel like that would waste valuable space on the hardware

Nintendo could have two slots on the top like a toaster and I wouldn't care as long as there's backwards compatibility. I don't even care if it's physical as my entire library is digital anyway.

Any recommendations for good indie/digital spooky games now that we’re in September?

Just finished this but it’s short
