botw should hold you over. im not anywhere close to beating it and ive played a lot ha

 

Finally beat BOTW. Somewhere between 75-80 hours. 106 shrines, about 50 korok seeds, not a ton of armor. One of the greatest times I've ever had with a game!

 

Just in time for that NBA playground game and some more MARIO kart.

 

The NBA game is going to be out later?

skipping it for now, but I def want to pick it up in the future. Bravely and MK8 are just taking so much of my time.

 

I think May 9th is the release date? Is bravely a DS game?

 

Yeah. Bravely Default/Second is on 3DS.

I'm hoping for a sequel on Switch, the combat and job system are excellent. Also the 3DS ones are fully voice acted (pretty well) and you can pick between Japanese/English audio.

Basically a JRPG fan's dream game.

 

I carry my 3DS and Switch everywhere now. Which I don't have a gif reaction for.

 

Anyone get NBA Playgrounds? How does it play and does it have licensed music?

 

I should be downloading it today or tomorrow. It looks like it could not a bit clunky and the $20 price tag worries me a bit but I'm hopeful.

 

just curious why the price worries you? plenty of rock solid indie games are priced at $20, look at Rocket League for example. I probably wouldn't spend more than $20 on Playgrounds to be honest. I'm skipping it for now, probably will wait a week until the online stuff is up.

Finally starting to get the hang of Mario Kart somewhat

 

A licensed indie sports game worries me regardless of price. Not because I don't trust their skills but because I'm looking for a certain grandiosity when playing a game like that, for example a licensed soundtrack, and these guys do not have unlimited resources. I'd pay full price for a licensed arcade basketball game with a lot of modes and polish. However, I'm still interested in this one.

 

I'll check it out when online comes into play.

 

makes sense, didn't think of it like that. I'm excited for this too and would honestly love a full priced complete NBA Street game in the vein of the originals (or NFL Street RIP).

Honestly, twenty bucks is what I spend in two trips to the taco bell. So I might as well get this today too.

 

It's up on the US store. Probably going to take all damn day to download while at work with a ~7gb file size.

 

I still have some games for Wii U & 3DS I have to pick up (Bayonetta 2, Fire Emblem Fates, Pikmin 3 to name a few) so I have stuff to play to hold me over till later this year when I plan to get a Switch.
