The only good spinoff of Pokemon is Pokemon Conquest.

Is Arceus considered a main game or spin-off?

 

It’s not mainline, so must be spin-off

 

Arceus is basically the legends series, I don’t think we’ll see a new game from that for at least two more years. It’ll probably be on the super duper switch lol I’m hoping for more original stuff like that, but now I’m worried about how they’ll handle the graphics.

A new game that’s not a remake?

Nah fam. There’s no coincidence that the best Pokémon games of the last 9 years have been remakes. The new games are way too ambitious for the manpower that Game Freak has and it shows.

Not interested in anything that’s not a remake because they at least have a solid foundation to work with.

 

The last remake did not feel mainline (and wasn’t a GameFreak game). I definitely GameFreak has moved on from remakes from now.

 

I’d consider Legends to be a “remake” or at least a “reimagining” of a previous region. Certainly not a “new” game such as the other main series.

I also think the only reason Game Freak outsourced for BDSP is because they wanted to do Legends but also felt that the fans expected a traditional remake. They couldn’t make both at once. I don’t see it as a sign that they are done with remakes. Just that they did what was necessary to release both games within a few months for the celebration of that generation.

Been playing these like crazy on my little emulator device. Would love a new one.

 

We all know we are at least getting DLC for scarlet and violet this year so more likely than not we will be getting a spin-off game and not a main series remake. Unless it's something like Lets Go Johto, which I would consider to be a spin-off/remake hybrid. Similar to Legends Arceus.
