There's a major strat to beating him that involves building around where he spawns but he is supposed to kick your ass on the first run traditionally haha.

Loop Hero is about finding the balance between going enough loops to get strong but not too many loops where everything around you is way stronger.

They are going to have to do a lot of patch update because from what I've heard this doesn't cover a lot of bugs and mechanics problems.

There could definitely be a first party Sony game that could be a survival horror Ice Climbers if they’d own the IP (and would care about old IPs)

That said, isn't that just more or less The Long Dark? It's wilderness instead of a mountain, but it's about surviving in the elements.

I dunno, what's the thought process here, a game that's one part climbing a mountain and one part... ??? Like, what's the horror part, surviving? Or a monster that lives there that's trying to knock you off the mountain?

Thinking about a survival horror that hasn't been done before and the only thing that I can think of is a video game version of Cloverfield. I don't think that's been done, where like the monster is a thousand feet tall and the horror element is just trying to get away from the thing. Imagine having to run through a building and you see an eye or something through the windows, watching you? Would be legit if it could be pulled off.

 

There was this game this year in which you are in a submarine in a blood ocean. I haven’t played it but I think I heard that the surroundings trying to crush your submarine is the “monster”, or partly.
