I think that’s kind of bullshit. Look af BotW or Mario Odyssey. A lot of what we saw this year was bad optimisation.

 

BotW can barely hold 30fps at 900p

 

Yeah but it looks good and there’s a lot going, plenty of games now run worse even though they look like shit. Like for example Pokemon being on fire has nothing to do with the Switch and everything with the game itself.

 

All I am saying is that a 5 year cycle of obsolescence is a choice, not a law of nature. You could just make games that actually fit the specs of the platform. You should, given how popular that platform still is.

 

A massive wealthy company should be able to figure out how to put out the best possible product instead of constantly half-assing and rushing games, imo.
