Did Splatoon get a release date this week? I got an email saying it was expected to ship to me in July.

 

Last week, at a direct. July 21st.

 

Just a preorder of the neon joycons right? GameStop?

 

I don't really agree with that. Battle Mode was non existent on Wii U so that's most definitely meant to be a draw to people who already own it on the other console.

 

Plus you get to play MK8 (arguably the best Kart game) on the go.

With a friend if you want.

That's pretty much why I didn't mind paying 50 (or was it 40?) for Binding of Isaac.

But I understand why people who owned it before would skip it, especially if they played like a hundred or more hours of Kart. (If I were to guess my playtime would probably be around 50-60 hours on wii u)

 

Dude, I would be willing to bet I'm closer to 300 hours on that game. Haha. No exaggeration. Every bit of it being local multiplayer, too.

But yeah, it's the same thought as buying a deluxe edition of an album you already own. They might be trying to appeal to first time buyers by offering more bang for their buck, but a large portion of their market are just loyal fans who are willing to repurchase the same product in order to get more content the second time. Just the way it works.

 

I want a Switch sooo bad. More than I wanted a Wii (which I was desperate for).

I'm honestly stuck between the option of buying a new bed/mattress and buying a Switch. Currently my argument is that I should get the Switch while I'm unemployed since I actually have time to use it. I'm horrible with money someone stop me

 

Buy a switch. If you buy a mattress you'd just lay on it staring at the ceiling unable to sleep craving for a switch.

If you buy a switch you wouldn't need to sleep anyway.

it sounds like you already have a mattress. get a Switch and you'll appreciate that old mattress so much more because you'll be playing Zelda/Mario Kart while lounging in it.

Yeah buy a Switch. You don't really need a mattress anyway if you're gonna be playing Zelda, plenty of regular beds and soft beds to go around in exchange for some rupees. Plus once you sleep in a soft bed you'll feel more energized afterwards and won't even need to sleep.

 

Yeah. I pre-ordered and paid off the neon yellow joy cons at GameStop. The store I went to said they were only getting in 3 the day they release.

 

Beenplaying in handheld way more. But I've mostly been just binging on Isaac so I guess it makes sense.

Have only played on the handheld twice.

 

I play mostly on the handheld, so far.

 

I only played on the TV for an extended period of time for Snipperclips, because of multiplayer. I played a little Zelda on the TV, hit some bad framerate issues the handheld mode didn't have, never docked it again.

 

I played Zelda on a TV for 5 minutes and I played 1,2 Switch for a while on a TV, but that is it. Unless I play with another person I don't see myself using TV mode a whole lot.

 

I've pretty much exclusively used tv mode except one time when my girlfriend got a haircut and I went with her

 

I've docked it once just to see what Zelda looked like in a 50 inch.

 

I assume smart steering is not allowed for online matches (at least I hope), because this is absurd, ha

 

They should bring back automatic mode or whatever from the Wii MK, my girlfriend really has problems with the controlls otherwise and it was perfect for her and casual gamers like her

 

I'm so excited for Friday. catching a Yankees game (probably in the rain) and then plan on spending the rest of the night playing MK8.

is Discord the app of choice for everyone until the service is rolled out?

 

I believe so. Are you already on discord? I'm zigbigwig#3366 but I really haven't use it a lot tbh (just when I played Clash Royale, and also Subterfuge)

 

I do now! I've never used this, ever. haven't had a need because I only play xbox online
