Oh by the way, I just got an achievement for being on this forum for one year and I just wanted to thank you all for being so cool. Video games mean a lot to me and I don't really have anybody to talk to about them, so I really enjoy talking to you people in this thread.

I loved epic Mickey too. The sequel was a disappointment.
I've made a tradition of playing thru the original every year before my family's annual Disneyland trip.

I'm going to Disney Paris in September which will be awesome but that doesn't count as proper Disney in my eyes as it's no way as big. I did do proper Disneyland in Orlando when I was a kid though, I'd love to do it again at some point (along with Universal).

 

I go to Disneyland like every 3-4 weeks or so

 

Mario Kart 8 Switch getting rave reviews. I mean not that it's surprising. But at least we know Nintendo didn't change anything that wasn't broken and we're really getting the definitive version. Some remakes do that.

We can play battle mode online with friends right? That's what I'm looking forward to the most tbh haha.

Oh wow I didn't even think of playing with you all... we could set up a tournament and use discord for voice chat. I'd be in.

 

I'd probably spend my first few days just getting all those single player trophies again, except 200cc because fuck that mode I don't even think I can finish it haha, but yeah probably a good idea to start getting each other's contacts. I'd be down to play some casual multiplayer if people are online.

Also, you said MK is less than a week away... it comes out 4/28 in NA. I know you reside in a different country, is your release date different?

 

Technically I'm a day earlier than you guys but it releases on 29 here, so we get it at the same time. But also I made a mistake. I thought the MK8 release is April 25, but it's actually the release date for Puyo Puyo vs Tetris.

 

I'm still not sure if I'm gonna pick up MK8 even though I love the Wii U version (mostly find it hard to swallow paying full price again for essentially the same game I still play all the time on a different system, never played much battle mode so that's not a huge selling point) but I'm very excited to give my Switch some use again next week with Puyo Puyo Tetris.

 

I paid off Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the neon yellow joy cons today. I'm not sure if I'll use the yellow joy cons or just keep them sealed and sell them later.

 

I was not aware that these exist.

 

There are still Virtual Console games coming out for Wii U and still not even news for the Switch. That is such a weird delay.

 

This is perfect because of how much hotline bling already sounds like the Wii shop channel music.

 

That's my only gripe there. I played the Wii U version into the ground over the course of a couple of years, so I'm not sure how pumped I'm going to be to play that anymore. Battle Mode is fun, but it always seemed like an "extra" feature to me and not the main selling point of the game. It's essentially what you're paying for if you've already gotten your fill on on the Wii U.

 

Well yeah this game definitly is meant for people that did not have a WiiU first
