I've been playing the new Mass Effect a lot and running around on the planets feels and looks a lot like Xenoblade Chronicles X. Just thought I'd let you know.

 

Awesome. If that's the case I'd probably still enjoy it a lot. Planning to buy a new PC by the end of the year.

How's the combat?

 

The combat is better than it has ever been in that series, very fast and dynamic

 

Does anyone know if I will be able to race against a friend online in MK8 deluxe from day 1 of the release?

 

I mean it has to, right? That's going to be so weird if that isn't the case.

Yeah I couldn't care a whole lot less about an NES classic, but I'll wait outside all night for an SNES one.

 

I hope they already come with 2 controllers. I still don't have an extra one for my NES Mini (just because they're so damn expensive now)

 

I really want to get an SNES Classic for my parents. When I was a kid they loved the platformers but they did not keep up after that.

 

A few gamestops near me have tons of them. Or at least did last week


I'd want the snes mini because that's like the only system since the NES that I didn't own

 

Will I even be able to get this SNES Classic? It's hard for me to even get excited about it bc of the nightmare I put myself and my family through trying to get the NES Classic last fall.

Man, holy shit did the SNES have quite the library.

 

I'll buy a scalped one for $150 depending on the included titles lol. SNES is a rare beast in that it's most valuable games on the collector's market are also some of the best games on the system: Earthbound, Mario RPG, Secrets of series. For the NES, most of the more valuable titles are shovelware, variants, or late cycle releases that were enhanced on other platforms, making the NES Classic largely valueless to me when I weigh the availability of the games vs. their impact on me as a kid.

Then I'm sold. This definitely falls under the "show to my kids one day" category.

 

If they release a decent VC on Switch, all that is void.

 

Disagree. Having them all on one little box for posterity's sake is a big pro for me. It means I don't have to worry about the drip release of titles from VC and whether they carry over to the New SwiitchDS XL Pro I'll be playing in 20 years. Also, it's 30 games for (presumably) $60 versus the $6-10 price Nintendo sells VC titles for. Could literally mean the difference of hundreds of dollars depending.

 

If it is 30 games, my hope would be:

Super Mario World
Yoshi's Island
Link to the Past
Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, 3
Super Metroid
Earthbound
Mario Kart
Star Fox

Those ten seem like locks. I would want a lot of platformers that are unrealistic due to licensing (Aladdin, Lion King, Magical Quest) but that seems unlikely.
