Anyone play the Strikers demo? Seems like a bit of a learning curve.

doesn't seem TOO complicated or anything. i only went through some of the tutorials, i forget when the next demo period is

 

Any recs for a good tactical rpg game in the vein of fire emblem three houses and triangle strategy?

 

Could try the Disgaea series

 

Definitely message zig, he has a ton of recs in that vein and I haven't played most of them but I trust they're all good

 

I know this will be blasphemy but I just hate the combat style of dragon quest and tales of vesperia lol

 

Valkyria Chronicles

Valkyria Chronicles is good, but it's unlike any tactical rpg I've ever played. It's a bit of real-time and strategy. Ended up becoming one of my favorite games and always goes on sale for $10.

Into the Breach is a really fun one, it has puzzle like elements and it a pretty cheap pickup.

I haven't played all of the following but they're solid recs: Langrisser (I think there's a demo), the Mercenaries games (FF Tactics clone and there are like 5 of them), God Wars, Brigandine (there's a demo), Banner Saga, Disgaea (super over the top anime stuff).

 

@spiffa0 have you ever played the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games?

 

I haven't. I am a fan of final fantasy so I'll have to check it out.

 

They are incredible, any possible way you can play GBA or DS games, go for it. Zig loves those games as well.

Considering Goldeneye 007 was one of the best selling N64 titles, is there any likelihood it will be on the Switch’s N64 Expansion Pack? Would a licensing issue prevent it?

 

Probably licensing. It didn't show up on Rare Replay either

Absolutely this. GoldenEye has never been rereleased because it is impossible for all the related parties (Nintendo, MGM, Microsoft) to come to an agreement. The game was supposed to be rereleased on XBox Live Arcade, and then was intended for inclusion in Rare Replay, and all attempts fell through for the same reasons.
