I'm kind of hesitant about owning a portable Mario Kart. I can already see I will be kicked out of many public places once it comes out. I don't know what it is about that game, but it makes me realize how much built up anger I have that I never even knew existed.

 

well i went ahead and bought the switch for 380, used a 100 dollar amazon gift card as well, should be getting here sometime next week. anyone know how much gamestop would give me for my wii u copy of breathe of the wild? gonna trade it in to get the switch version

 

God, r/NintendoSwitch is a wasteland. I wish I could filter out everything but news on the mobile reddit app. I swear, 25% of all posts in the last month are "am I the only one who wants insert top 10 most successful video game franchise ever here on the Switch?!?!" Kill me.

 

it's almost like there needs to be a strictly news subreddit, like r/games and r/gaming

 

I spend like half of my day on r/Games. Out of all platforms, they care about Nintendo the least. If new Neo Geo games get announced for eShop, for example, it has a 0% chance of making it to their front page.

 

You could just read a dedicated Nintendo fan website, they can't get enough of hot new Neo Geo ports and screenshots of Japan-only mobile ports

 

The only dedicated gaming site with a vague enough URL to not be blocked at work is IGN. Somehow, reddit escaped blocking as well. Times is hard.

Also, I love my Neo Geo games, fight about it

I'm only at around 30 hours in Zelda now and have only just taken down the 2nd divine beast. I've hardly taken down any of the monsters that are kicking about either. I still feel like I've hardly scratched the surface of this game and I'm loving it.

Gonna go to a few of my local Wal Mart's right now before work since I just got paid, in search of the Switch. Wish me luck!

 

Damn it. That's so good.

But yeah, the monsters are more fun than anything else. A ton of things in this game are not necessarily essential, but just about everything you do and everything you stock up on will just make the harder parts easier down the line, you know? Killing the monsters gives you parts for elixirs to stand the heat/cold, taking their treasure will sometimes give you better weapons, etc....

 

Cosmic Star Heroine once again seems likely for Switch
