not strictly Nintendo related but it hit me last night how important USB-C is going to be. the fact that it's charging and passing audio and video through is just really cool. it was like a lightbulb went off when I docked my Switch last night.

yes, but it's going from the USB-C to HDMI as in you're not plugging HDMI into the switch when it docks. it all clicked the other night.

 

Right, which is why you can use an USB-C extension cable to hook your Switch up to the dock without docking it

 

Finally got a Switch when some went live on Amazon Prime yesterday. Gonna be a fun weekend! Can't wait to create that Japan Eshop account.

Just got the best call ever from my mother. She found me a Switch in the suburbs.

Kinda glad I didn't get this right out of the gate. Especially with all the hardware issues. Scratching screens, that horrendous battery life and the actual console warping from heat and the joy con issues.

Don't get me wrong, Zelda looks cool and I was waiting for the new 3D Mario game. Hopefully they fix some of the issues by December.
