I've had this wishlisted on Steam for the longest but haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet. It's also still technically in early access, although I wonder if that will change now that the Switch version is out.

Continuing a theme of late, this is a remake/follow-up to an old NES game that never was localized here in the States. Love this new timeline we live in where the things we missed out on as kids are now reborn for our enjoyment.

Thanks. Turns out that on the 16th, the current Early Access version will become the Digital Deluxe version with a higher price point, so I just purchased it to avoid that nonsense. It comes with the original game!

 

I started Earthbound and I’m only at the part where I defeated the Sharks, but I love it already.

 

The teams at Nintendo clearly know how ridiculous this is and are taking full advantage of it. Loving it.

The start of Earthbound is pretty brutal when you only have Ness, may need to grind a little at a couple points. Nothing crazy though.

Dude. That’s definitely the part of the game that got me hooked as a kid. Like, I knew after I defeated Frank this game was really special.

Have a big backlog of Switch games i own that i've never finished that I decided i want to push through really quick before i get any new games. Finished Luigi's Mansion 3 yesterday morning, and i'm 2 dungeons away from finishing the Link's Awakening remake.

Next i got to finish New Pokemon Snap, Skyward Sword, Pokemon Shield (already 85% done with the main game), and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Three Houses is the one i'll give myself a pass on for not completing because of how much a huge time commitment it is to finish.

 

20 hours into Mother and it’s still amazing. I left the zombie town and got Jeff in my party now.
It took me way too long to realize you get money after each battle and it goes right to your bank account. I checked the ATM eventually and had a ton stored. Usually in games it tells you when you earn money when the battle finishes.

 

I'm already grinding for money in Triangle Strategy after hitting the level cap

 

Watched the Gaming Historian video on Link's Awakening. Had no idea the main producer of the game was a huge fan of Twin Peaks and David Lynch, and how much it influenced the story.

 

It's a mindfuck if you think about it, cause by waking the Wind Fish, you're dooming an entire world to destruction. It's like the worst kind of isekai. "Hey, I know I don't belong in this world, so I'm gonna leave and fuck your shit up on the way out. Cool?"

I have at least 15 hours in the Link's Awakening remake and i just now found out you can combine bombs and arrows.

 

Link’s Awakening is one of my favorite games. It’s so charming.

 

Eagle's Tower can still fuck off tho
