All y'all are usually wrong so

 

They have tended to sneak in some later-dated stuff as well despite the "releases over the next few months" thing they've been doing - big example that comes to mind is the Splatoon 3 reveal.

I could be wrong but it feels like there's not a lot of big AAA games lined up atm so I can see one or two surprises coming out of it.

 

Already some absolutely wild "predictions" going around out there lol never change Nintendo stans

Doesn’t matter. This direct is focusing on “first half of 2022” where as every E3 direct shows games releasing in the fall and the next year. At most we’ll get a BOTW2 teaser with a “see more at E3 2022” tag or something

 

there’s been plenty of times where they announced a direct focusing on a certain timeframe where they still announced future projects

 

'Focusing' doesn't mean ONLY THE NEXT 6 MONTHS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE

 

Kirby and Splatoon 3 are a lock, as well as Triangle. Also I legit 100% think we‘ll get a look at Batman running on switch lol

 

Wow I can't believe the big reveal for this direct is the super smash bros fighters pass 3 with waluigi, master chief, doom man, crash bandicoot and warp pipe

 

I’m not expecting BOTW2 as much as I want to see more, but the wording of the Direct announcement doesn’t even remotely factor into that. Based on past directs with similar “focuses” it seems almost guaranteed they show multiple games that are coming later than June

 

they going to announce Metroid 4 is a myth and everyone has been played

 

Every time they say the first half of the year or the next six months or something they're usually talking out of their ass and it's still a bunch of games with no release dates

This is pretty much what I assume we will get for BOTW2 except without the E3 tag because I doubt Nintendo will do any official E3 presentations, just a Direct during that same week

 

It's probably going to be a largely uneventful Direct. More stuff on Kirby, Advance Wars, and Triangle Strategy. Probably a trailer/release date for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. Probably more on Splatoon 3. A bunch of indies. Maybe more Bayo 3.

BOTW2 is launching in the fall if it's coming in 2022 at all. And honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they have a Direct dedicated solely to BOTW2 coming later in the year, summer time probably.

They're definitely going to announce Mario Kart 9 because an insider/leaker said so for the 36th time.... they're bound to be right ONCE, right?

Warp Pipe is the fighter I didn't know I absolutely wanted to see until now.
