The Switch still has strong crazy sales and is cheap and - in times of shortages - easy to make, so the 4K follow-up (which has been in development for years of course) has definitely been put on the shelve for now, and that makes a lot of sense

 

Hopefully by the time they can get everything they need, they’ll have had so much time thinking about it that it’s awesome

 

Also, it's wild how so many gaming enthusiasts tend to default to becoming financial analysts over stuff like this. Not just on here but pretty much all over the internet as well. Who cares what the financial reasons are? I definitely don't. I just want new hardware. That used to be enough lol I don't know why it isn't anymore.

 

I don't want to buy new hardware. I hope Nintendo just keeps making Switch games until the sun burns out. It'll only be like ten years, right?

I don’t mind if I have to wait another few years for Switch 2. Just keep giving me Zelda games (even after BOTW2) on the current Switch and I’m good.
