I’ve always been turned off of it because I hear the game is timed. I take my time in games and like to explore, so that would just frustrate me.

 

It is on a timer but it's not as oppressive as it sounds. You learn an ocarina song that let's you slow down the passage of time and you also eventually unlock shortcuts to do certain things so you don't have to waste time, say, going through dungeons more than once. Every time you reset the cycle, you have plenty of time to explore before you need to reset it again.

The game is definitely worth playing in spite of those reservations. It's one of the weirdest and creepiest games Nintendo has ever put out. There's some genuinely devastating emotional moments in there too. And it has so many interesting side quests all wrapped up in the mask collecting aspect of the game. Not to mention the truly legendary reward for collecting every mask. It's just fantastic.

 

I’ll keep that in mind. I want to play OoT first.

MM is the only home Zelda game I need to play and then I would have played them all (not beat them all, though, because I don’t ever see myself finishing Zelda II)

 

Timer felt a lot less troublesome on my 3ds go around than playing it on n64 as a kid.

But definitely Oot first, it has its rep for good reason.

I will say, after playing a little bit on Banjo last night. The camera controls are super awkward.

The game is fine, but I actually forgot how incredibly frustrating it is when you die you lose so much progress in Banjo.

 

I decided to get Ender Lillies, since it’s only $25. I’ve been playing for four hours. It’s nowhere near as good as Hollow Knight, but fans of it will like this. A good metroidvania.

 

Ended Lillies is… fine.

Maybe I haven’t been following well enough, but leaks for this game have got me way more excited than any info Nintendo has put out

 

That's because everything Nintendo puts out is just a character slowly walking around and not doing anything interesting

 

I didn’t realize it’s out this Friday. Sweet, something to look forward to.
