Really excited for Paper Mario. A friend and I beat it when we were kids in like 2002 and I haven’t played it since but I remember it was really good.

Honestly shocked they didn’t go in and edit Paper Mario to replace all the unique original partner characters with generic goombas, koopa troopas, bob-ombs, and toads

Because Paper Mario isn’t allowed to have unique partner characters anymore

 

I get the reference, but there's a wild difference between not making anything in the future and going back and redoing the sprites for a game that's over a decade old.

According to leaks Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2 will be on there eventually, but idk how they will work. With the transfer pak on N64 they let you transfer Pokémon from red/blue/yellow/gold/silver/crystal and that obviously won’t be the case anymore. Maybe they’ll let you transfer Pokémon from Home?

 

I doubt they will allow transfers in any way

You know, on a similar subject, I read an article about Earthbound that I found pretty interesting because it touched on some things I never knew or realized about the game and why it's difficult to port. This was back in the Virtual Console days so I don't know how much has changed since, but it's still fascinating.

I’ll still play it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they added online play since they added it to Star Fox and Mario Kart 64

 

I don’t understand how they released it on the SNES classic a couple years ago without any legal issues. I just think Nintendo is full of shit and that’s not the real issue.
