Went to another game stop who said they are expecting some tomorrow or Thursday and then a third one who flat out didn't know what he was talking about or lied straight to my face "we don't know when we will be getting any, but hey we are doing this new Zelda bundle"

$460 shipped by 3/31. Seems like they will know when they have decent stock to me haha

Also, a Radiant Historia remake is coming to the 3DS. For those of you who don't know: Radiant Historia is secretly one of the best RPGs ever made.

Bought Binding of Isaac. I won't be playing it until after Shovel Knight, but the instruction manual is amusing.

 

having never played Mario Kart 8 I'm so damn excited for it to get released. I've watched that 5 minute video more times than I'd like to admit.

 

Finished original Shovel Knight, on to Specter of Torment. Specter Knight's different moveset is really neat and the tweaks to the upgrade/item system seem pretty interesting. I don't have much to say because I've only gotten a level in but I'm sure I'm going to love this too.

 

Only got to play MK8 without the DLC and only up to 150cc so it would def feel like more or less a new game to me as well.

 

200CC is so crazy, it breaks the whole game

 

my friends and I regularly go to bars with Golden Tee all of the time, I even have the stupid plug and play home thing. I will definitely be getting Turf Masters, not familiar with anything NeoGeo though besides Metal Slug.

 

has anyone tried these grips? I'm assuming they are a nice addition based of off the 2-4 week wait time.

Alright guys. I've about given up on not getting talked into buying a GameStop bundle. Can't find a switch anywhere because I have a life /job and can't get to stores early enough when they restock.

Do you guys think it is worth the extra $85 to buy the Zelda bundle and supposedly have a switch by the first week of April? It has the switch, Zelda, Zelda expansion pass, Zelda case (but no screen protector), collectors edition Zelda strategy guide, and some headset I will never use. $461 plus tax. I'd prefer to use that extra $85 on a pro controller or set of joycons but man I'm getting sick of going to stores and not finding one.

I have heard that you can sell some of the stuff that comes in the bundle back to Gamestop so I would recommend asking them how much you would get back for what. I'm in the same boat as you are and I think if I had the money I would probably do it. If you can sell them back the headset and the strategy guide you might be able to get like 50 or 60 bucks back I would think.

At the same time though, I feel like within the next two to three weeks they are going to be a lot easier to get a hold of. So it just depends how sick of waiting you are haha.

 

Supposedly the fine print says individual items cannot be returned. I have heard some people have some luck getting trading them in for other items approved and that would probably be decent at least.

 

I've read of people having success returning certain items but that it kind of just depends on the employee you're dealing with. But yeah if not maybe you could trade it in for a pro controller. Good luck though man. It's a lot more frustrating than I could have imagined.

 

Could always try returning them at Walmart, I know a decent amount of people that did that with no receipt

 

Found one!!!!! Best Buy in federal way, WA got five and were just about to put them on the floor when I arrived and asked.

I'm almost in shock haha.

Man Zelda is pretty good so far. I beat the first four shrines on the plateau and got the paraglider. Going to explore as much of the plateau as I can before jumping down.

Enemies are pretty dang hard (especially the ones that can one shot you).
