Dying Light plays really well on the Switch. Open world games like this are so much more digestible for me if I have the option to just pick up and play when/wherever

 

My girlfriend has been dying to get her own Switch because she loves Animal Crossing and wants to start her own island. She was going to buy a Lite, but I told her I wouldn't mind upgrading to an OLED if I found one.

Walked into Walmart a few days ago to pick something up for work, wandered to electronics just for the heck of it. Sure enough, 8 white Switch OLEDs. She offered to split it down the middle with me, and take my original as her own. Works for me! She gets a full console instead of a Lite for less money, and I get the shiny new OLED.

The screen is definitely a huge improvement, and the console feels much sturdier, too.

 

the DF video on it was incredible.

For anyone interested in romhacks, I haven't played this yet, but it sounds very cool.

Basically someone made a better Zelda II with a unique storyline.

Sticker Star was a straight up bad game on its own merits, but Color Splash and Origami King were a ton of fun

 

Did you play FIST? I've been thinking about picking it up

 

F.I.S.T. sucks ass, I fucking hate that game. it's slow as molasses, combat feels awful and it's drab as fuck.

graphics are sick tho.

 

I haven't played FIST yet. Looked cool but I have so many things in my backlog right now, plus I just bought Deathloop on sale for $39.95, so I don't have time to get to it haha

Yeah I decided to buy it and we're loving it. So fun remembering all of these old mini games I haven't seen in ages. And it's great to be able to use my pro controller instead of a single joy con like in Super Mario Party

Didn't add what? This game is so different that this new one deserves to be a separate one. Let the old one die.

 

They should have just done Super Mario Party Ultimate and give it every board and minigame from every Mario Party ever.

 

Yeah they've changed the rules back to the OG games. Super Mario Party had cheap stars, the coin payouts were "everyone wins" type, and the overall pace was terribly slow. We played Peach's Birthday Cake yesterday - 20 turns - and it seemed to go nearly as quickly as the N64 ones
