Even that’s it’s relatively close to coming out makes a lot of sense

 

once it's officially announced it will be #1 most anticipated game haha, maybe even before BOTW2.

XC2 absolutely worked, it’s just not as good as XC1

 

Glad you're enjoying it! I never played it before the Switch either and now it's probably my second favorite Mario game next to Odyssey. I hear Galaxy 2 was really good, though, so maybe that'd top it for me.

 

I tried playing all three games on the Switch Mario 3D collection and they all were just odd and clunky in some ways. Couldn't get into them. Maybe I just don't like Mario platformers?

I think it's pretty good, but I like 2 better personally. Is it on sale?

 

Probably not I’ve just had 2 forever, but ever since 1DE launched last year I wanted to start that first. Finally getting rid of some of my backlog so might bite the bullet soon.

 

The multiple times I tried Mario 64 I havent found it enjoyable enough to keep at it. I've still not played any other 3d mario games.

It’s great. That is the critical consensus too. But yeah I also like 2 better. That is not the consensus however.

 

I guess they’re going to wait another week to put blastoise in unite, bleh. I was hoping they would introduce sylveon in the next direct but since blastoise isn’t out yet, yeah.

 

I don't want this to come off like disrespect toward your opinions, but as someone who grew up with Mario games his entire life, I find the prospect of people existing that don't like Super Mario 64 to be really disconcerting. It's like a cross between feeling old and feeling like I'm in an alternate timeline.

 

xc2 > 1, but I have no nostalgia for 1 so maybe thats why

 

I grew up with Mario as well, the 3D games just didn't age well.

 

I'll have to agree to disagree on that one. But then again I also loved Yooka-Laylee where a lot of people didn't. I may have a soft spot for 3D platformers in general.
