I think my first system was a Game Gear. I would play Bonkers and Sonic on it. But my first actually console was a SNES a few years after its release when I was a kid and got Super Mario All-Stars that had Super Mario World in it!

I have mine too! That's the Sonic game I had. I also had that baseball game in the top right and I think that bottom right one is NBA Jam and I had that as well!

I lost my case and the magnifier you have though. I don't even think I have covers for the battery slots on the back haha.

Game gear was amazing. We used to make the drive between CT/MD almost weekly and it was awful with the gameboy because the sun would go down and the light attachment was janky. Game gear revolutionized those car rides, although I’d need to bring 12 extra batteries.

I still have a case and idk, 6 or 7 games. I played NBA Jam on it all the time. The Ren and Stimpy game too. That baseball game, Surf Ninjas, Lion King, Aladdin, Sonic 2... Haha. Wish my monster battery pack didn't die.

Picked up Skyward over the weekend, I'm through the first dungeon already and I can't figure out which controls I actually like. They both frustrate me equally lol

i played for the first time this weekend since release weekend because i've been so apprehensive to dive back into the controls. i played for maybe 10 minutes on handheld, which is obviously worse that the TV/pro controller i had been using previously. I'm going to give the motion controls a shot even though i always hate them, but it will be a slog to get through the game if the pro controller ends up being the best option.

The thing is that neither method is ideal for the entire game, like I find myself wanting to switch back and forth constantly depending on what I have to do. I would stick with the button controls if the camera wasn't so annoying.

I enjoyed both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, with the caveat that I played them with an emulator because I absolutely dislike the touch controls.

Zelda as a ghost is hilarious.

The only good Zelda games are LTTP, Minish Cap, and BOTW. Well, time to log off.

I think TP is fun enough, but man, I just do not like the art direction in it at all. Such dull, dreary colors, and random NPCs look kind of creepy and weird lol

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself less interested in Zelda games and I think I just about agree with you. At this point, I’d add Twilight Princess to your list and that’d probably be it.

I'm really enjoying SkSw despite the awful controls, but it just makes me wish we could get a proper collection of all the 3D Zelda games for the Switch. It makes too much sense though so it will almost certainly never happen.

I think just about the only Zelda games I actively dislike are the original NES games, for the same reason I've never enjoyed the original Metroid: being deliberately obtuse in a game is not fun for me. In any game, if I don't have at least some general idea of where I'm supposed to go, I get frustrated and either seek out a walkthrough or lose interest completely.

Ive had near zero issues with Skyward Sword motion controls. Never even considered the other scheme. I guess i’m just really skilled at vidya games.

I’ll be honest. I think I prefer the motion controls for skyward sword on Wii more than the controls for Switch in handheld mode.
