I’m sure there will be guides like pokemon has, it’s just only been out for a week so far

 

Yeah I know, but I mean that would be great to have in game for a game that seems to be about farming monsters

 

Yeah, that’s definitely a negative the reviewers were talking about so I’m not surprised. There will probably be a lot more strategy guides soon tho

 

They look a lot better than the promo pictures and the decals don’t feel like they’re going to fade from wear and tear

 

Just needs the battery pack that was almost as big as the Game Gear itself haha

 

You could throw a Game Gear out of a moving car and it would still work when you picked it up (I did this when I was 7).

 

I still have mine and very recently bought a game for it!

 

I still don't like them and I figured out why. I don't like the right joycon.

I’ve never played this one before so I’m very tempted to just go ahead and buy it.

 

Was just able to pre-order a white oled switch on Walmart lol

 

Game gear was amazing for everything except battery life

 

I had never played either, almost done with the first dungeon and it's really fun. Motion controls take a bit of getting used to but it's so much more satisfying anytime you kill something with the sword.

 

Are the motion controls that important, or would I enjoy it just fine with the pro controller?

 

Imo it's the main draw to the game, I haven't tried button controls though.

 

But can it survive a bombing in the middle of a war zone like a game boy can?

 

I mainly play through my tv and on a pro controller anyhow. If I do get it I might have to consider playing it handheld for some.

every review I’ve read has said the button controls work just as well

 

soooooI remember when skyward sword came out my friend said the beginning was a super slow burn. but holy fuck im at like 3 hours in and havent gotten to the first dungeon yet. didnt think it was THIS slow of a burn

 

I played through the first dungeon and didn't think it dragged on that much, if you're at 3 hours you're just about to hit the first dungeon.

If you don’t use motion controls, the right stick controls the sword and you move the camera by holding down LB and moving right stick. I’d rather not be constantly holding down LB, so I’m sticking with motion controls.

 

Was going to buy Skyward Sword but ended up buying Xenoblade Chronicles instead....
