I think we're going to see fewer ports over the next few years. The other consoles are moving way too quickly ahead in terms of graphics. The Switch should still be good for indie games and first-party titles, though.

 

Nintendo knows their hardware, first party titles are not going to look like shit just because we aren’t getting a Switch Pro lol. None of Nintendo’s first party Switch games to date have looked like shit, they aren’t suddenly going to start looking like shit now.

I'll buy a Switch Pro in a heartbeat and they know tons of people will, that's reason enough for them to make one.

 

There’s no reason for a Switch Pro as a mid gen Upgrade. The Switch Pro will be the Switch 2 or whatever in a couple years.

 

Exactly, a Switch Pro is unnecessary and pointless right now. Switch 2 will be out in 2 years, that’s plenty soon enough.

The main argument AGAINST a half step console is that the regular Switch is still selling incredibly well, so it’s not unlikely that they’ll just move on to a real successor (which might feel like be a more powerful Swich, like Series X/S does compared to the Xbox One) by the time the Switch’s momentum stops

 

yeah I guess at this point a Switch 2 with 100% backwards compat is the likelier way, coming sometime 202... I wanna say 4?

 

Idk, they always seem to do that. I remember the initial price for the new pokemon game was like 80 bucks lol

it's a buy, the only downside where the production values and that it starts out too easy.

 

Everything I’ve seen suggests it’s even better than I thought it would be, wayyyy more monsters and combos you can use than I expected and they’re doing updates until the fall. It seems like it could be good, maybe.

Not true. All resident evils are buck wild incredible looking ports, so is MH World. The RE engine is magic.
