Hard to tell, the PS4 to PS4 Pro was a 3x increase in power, where the Xbox One S to One X was a 7fold increase. A lot can change in 4 (or 5 by the time it's out) years, and given the fact that we're probably not looking at bleeding edge tech, the chip shortage would hit the Switch far less, as the dies are far less complicated and will have a higher yield rate than, say, a 30-Series GPU.

I do 100% agree with your argument regarding sales though, the Switch hasn't even had a price drop yet lol

There's some added geometric detail throughout the trailer and I do think Link's character model looks significantly better. Additonally I think people might have a rose-tinted view of what BOTW looks like. It's surprisingly barren up-close. This is not a critique, I'm just saying there's ample room for improvement even on the Switch. I mean MH Rise looks bonkers imo.

Also graphics do improve during a system's lifespan so why would BOTW2 be any different? haha

 

Let me be clearer: I think it would be capable of a lot but Nintendo wouldn’t really use all that extra power because they don’t want to cripple the original Switch.

On BotW2: It might be a bit better but I think they’ll mostly reuse assets, no? That’s why I think it won’t be significantly better looking. But who knows. They for sure are taking their sweet time.

 

agreed, which is why at best we are getting a res/FPS bump in most titles.

Switch graphics have been weirdly inconsistent. Like, XCX looks sharper than the Xenoblade titles on Switch, whereas Galaxy looks incredible.

Mario Golf seems to be getting mixed reviews so far.

 

well it is a mario sports game, idk why people expected more. I also refuse to buy a mario sports game that isnt either a remake of the wii strikers or a new entry in the strikers games

 

is it worth a play through? after I finished the base game i was burnt out on XC1

It seems like they tried to make a golf game for people who don't like golf. What I liked about the older games is that they're basically golf simulators with a Mario theme. Not sure why they're moving away from that.

I have Scarlet Nexus on my Ps5 but all I want to play is BOTW

 

If you want to mostly play mario golf with your friends, it’s not a bad game. If you wanted it just for story mode, idk what you expected.

 

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to be on the fence with Mario Golf but I think I still want to get it.

 

They’re going to also add more characters and other content as a part of their updates as well

And it kicks fucking ass. It’s so good so far. Very pretty too.
