@Vase Full Of Rocks Have you played the Tales of Vesperia port on Switch? I've been hearing mixed things but I do want to play it.

 

Tempted to play this next but I keep hearing people say exactly that, and that it's a super long game in general.

I also just beat BD 2 so I might need a little break from JRPGs lol

 

The part between the first and second "ending" (the first one is not an ending then, but that's what people call it) is not great (very grindy), but the game is worth playing regardless. Just take your time. The good thing is that it is simple enough, so putting it down for a while and then coming back is no problem.

 

There are ways to speed up grinding and certain tactics to beat the boss faster, which is what I did

 

It's pretty solid. I had no issues with it so I don't know what the mixed things are, but I'd definitely give it a shot if you find it on sale (which it is quite often)

 

Thanks. I have read blurry (but not as blurry as XC) and that it crashes.

It is on sale right now actually.

 

Mine never crashed at all and I didn't noticed any major problems.

 

I also just finished it and had no problems whatsoever with performance

 

So MHS is a turn based MH? Sick

 

It’s really more of a classic JRPG set in the MH universe

 

Gonna need the Mario Golf reviews from y'all when it comes out so I can decide whether or not to buy it

 

Will do. I preordered it which I don’t usually do. I figured at least the regular golf mode must be amazing because it’s still Mario Golf made by the same developer as usual.

 

It won’t be as good as Golf Story though I can tell you all right now

looks like were gonna get a demo for Neo:TWEWY. if the gameplay is as fun as this trailer makes it seem I might be picking this up over skyward sword in July

I'm replaying BOTW on the PC right now with all the perks that come with it, plus an expansion called Second Wind that remixes all the shrines and makes them bigger and more difficult. That will nicely tide me over until Scarlet Nexus drops tonight lol

I have to say: after putting in around 10'ish hours into Breath of the Wild on PC, my hype for the Switch Pro has all but dissipated. This game doesn't really benefit from the higher refresh rate*, and the high resolution kind of just reveals that the asset quality -- by today's standards -- isn't all that.

Undoubtedly Breath of the Wild 2 will be a nicer looking game just by not being held back by the Wii U, but I don't think I'll mind playing it on the regular ole Switch if they don't announce a Pro model.

*of course it benefits, it's just that the gameplay doesn't really require any fast or precise movements as the main draw of the game keeps being the exploration and discovery, thus doubling the frame rate is just to make it look smoother -- which is welcome but inessential.

I don’t think a Switch Pro is coming in the near future because a) the Switch is still selling like crazy and the moment mum is still there and b) the chip shortage.

That being said, if the Switch Pro would be a half-step rather than a Switch successor, I doubt the extra power will be as impactful as people might think. Think New 3DS.

There’s also the possibility that there will be an update to the current Switch that includes a nicer screen and better batteries, but I wouldn’t call that a Switch Pro.

 

I also don’t think BotW2 will look better than BotW. I think it’ll look exactly the same.
