beat the first shrine and then just spent like 2 hours exploring, ended up climbing up mount hylia and stumbling across a new shrine so ill probably do that after work

 

Seems like Target did get a lot of stock (a friend got his at a Target yesterday early evening-ish and said even then they had a decent amount left) but their online inventory checker isn't very reliable from what I hear. So yeah, calling is your best bet.

 

Traded in some games earlier and got enough in cash for a pro controller. Unfortunately everywhere is sold out of those at the moment. Love how good Zelda looks on the switch itself, think I've played more of it curled in my bed than on the TV so far.

 

Yeah, Zelda looks pretty great on the screen. It's nice to see a Nintendo system have a screen that's actually pretty decent for once. The Wii U screen was serviceable but I never really wanted to play those generally great looking games on the sub-HD gamepad screen. This + the better performance for BotW will make me play a whole lot of it in handheld mode.

 

Surprised that the dock felt so light and cheap. The feel of the switch when portable is pretty good though

 

Fast RMX is pretty cool too, solid 2nd game not that anyone really needs one right now

 

I love my 3ds despite how terrible the screen resolution is, I can't imagine how blown away I'll be when I hold one of these in my hands haha.

 

Yep. Two of the stores that said in stock online are sold out according to the staff members I talked to.

I wonder if places will be getting more stock tomorrow?

 

I really wish they had put a second kickstand on the opposite side. I wasn't even thinking and went to turn the volume up while playing in the kitchen and definitely knocked the little guy over.

 

My target didn't have anything Switch related or any Wii U games either. It was strange

 

Shout out to @tucah for letting me know there's three times as much content in Snipperclips than it looked like lol. The second book is a lot more challenging and fun. Picked up a second pair of Joycon today so hoping for some 3-4 player tonight.

The 3DS and WiiU stands work great for the Switch. You might consider digging through your junk drawer lol

 

I was playing Zelda in handheld mode while watching SNL and the battery ran out and now I'm sitting here practically despondent that it isn't in my hands anymore.

 

Well my FOMO has kicked in too much. As pissed as I am that I'm gonna overpay for this thing, Zelda always makes me do it.

 

It's stuff like this that makes me feel lame for playing it on the WiiU. I've been taking the WiiU off the entertainment center and dragging it down the hall as far as the chords will let me, so I can get the signal in my bedroom

 

I already put my Wii U back in its box (temporarily of course) sofit some space on my desk, and accidentally left out the stand.

I've probably played 5 hours max on the TV.

 

There is something about Breath Of The Wild I can't quite put my finger on. I see a lot of people talking about the unparalleled sense of discovery and adventuring, but that's not quite what I mean either. It feels very special. It's unlike any open world game I have ever played. This is coming from someone that does not look at Zelda through a crazy fanboy lense.

 

It feels alive.

 

The thing is so much smaller than it looked in pictures and videos online, I just have mine sitting on top of my Xbox One. My cousin said the Xbox One has gone full meme and is now actually a VCR that you put stuff on top of, instead of just looking like one.

 

finished the great plateau and took a look at the map to see where i wanna go next and saw the plateau was sooooo tiny compared to what i have left to explore, gonna be playing this forever

 

Any east coasters know how the toys r us stock has been this morning?

Hoping to get lucky and grab a switch at toys r us this morning but they don't open for a couple of hours.

Best bets would be toys r us then GameStop then Best Buy??
