Apparently a supposedly reliable leaker said that there will be a Pokemon Direct this week at some point, either Wednesday or Thursday? And that the Diamond/Pearl remakes will be announced then? Who knows.

Would be cool though.

 

I just want Gold / Silver for the Switch...

 

I did but was barely into it at the time, I just remember loving it but it taking forever to beat the game. With new graphics it’ll probably feel a lot more refreshing and enjoyable, here’s to hoping that’s one of the things.

 

I really want ports of xyz and sun and moon because I don’t want to have to get a 3ds to play them

 

I stopped playing Pokemon entirely between Ruby/Sapphire and Sun/Moon. So everything in between those games I missed. It was actually the Ruby/Sapphire remakes that got me back into it. I picked up Omega Ruby on a whim when it came out, figured I'd see if the nostalgia hit me and if I was interested at all, and it really sucked me back in. Then I bought Sun on launch day and now I'm back on the Pokemon train. So I'm extremely excited for the potential to experience Diamond/Pearl remade for Switch.

Once they fix that, I think gen 4 is the best Pokémon wise. It’s going to be an amazing game to remake.

There's been a rumor of a Pokemon direct for a while. One of the original predictions was the 17th. I can definitely see some news coming out for this Fall.

I'd kill for some ports of other generations.

 

Would be cool if they announced a Diamond/Pearl full remake but then also that they were putting like, FireRed/LeafGreen, HeartGold/Soulsilver, and other older games onto the eShop.

I think Sun and Moon should have been the Switch games. That world is so much more interesting than Sword and Shield. The starters are better too.

 

I’m kind of disappointed pokemon unite isn’t coming out for awhile just because it would be cool to play pokemon with teams, its something I’ve always wanted in a game. The co-op was good for that but that’s still only in dynamax battles.

 

Sun and Moon would be top tier for me if not for the hand holding

 

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon came out way too close to the originals. Those would have been killer on Switch.

I agree very much with this. It is the only Pokemon game I really connected with and thought was creative since Gold and Silver.

I will say that Detective Pikachu has the best world in a Pokemon Game, but the gameplay is far too simplistic.

 

Isn’t there gonna be a new detective pikachu game this year?

 

Beta comes out in March.

 

Black and White is the only generation I never finished. More so due to hating my 3DS at the time. It's a game I would love to be on the Switch so I can grow to love it.

Huh? I was just assuming considering that’s the opening scene in platinum haha

 

I didn’t like that game too much, the 3D version could be really nice tho

 

As in, there will supposedly be some kind of additional story content where you'll actually be able to catch Arceus in the remakes. Because you couldn't in the originals if you didn't go to one of the distribution events.
