I find it odd that they said the direct would focus on games for the first half 2021 and then announce 2022 games.

 

Yeah that’s another thing. They lied about what would be in the Direct, so it’s fair to ask about other games. Where was an update on anything Metroid? Why do we have to wait longer for a BotW2 update? What is Monolith working on?

 

Did people really think they'd give us Windwaker and Twilight Princess again so soon? Like, it only made sense to remaster Skwyard Sword since that shit was only available in low-def on Wii.

 

Didn't know Skyward Sword was hated so much lmao. Never played it, but it was my buddy's favorite. I remember him saying it was a lot better than Twilight Princess

 

I became a Zelda fan after playing BOTW, so I’m excited to play Skyward Sword.

 

the Switch has been out for four years and literally every other Wii U game has been ported over so yeah people have been expecting those games to be brought over for years at this point

 

How they would have anything substantial to show us about MP4 is beyond me. They had to start over from scratch with a new studio and then COVID hit. What do you want? A new logo?

BOTW2 is obviously going to be a big reveal they want to dedicate more time to in a direct (it may even get its own direct) so it's fine that they didn't show us anything instead of half-assing it now. I want a good, long infodump on it.

Everything else you mentioned is personal preference.

You don't understand the meaning of the term "literally".

 

The thing I don't get is people saying "this is their first proper direct since yada yada yada," because...so?

They have done a ton of mini and indie things where they showed us a bunch of stuff. They've show us Pokemon Snap 2, given us the Mario 3D Collection, Animal Crossing, Pikmin 3 and more. While I of course want more games saying they've been sitting around with their thumbs up their asses giving us nothing and showing us nothing isn't true.

 

Nothing makes my disappointment in a direct disappear faster than dorks online talking about what Nintendo should have done

It's not a bad game. The motion controls just really fucked it. That was a bad decision.

Zombie U, Nintendo Land, Game and Wario, Kirby and The Rainbow Curse, Paper Mario: Color Splash, Star Fox Zero, and Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival still haven't been ported from Wii U so you have to wait until those are done.

I'm not arguing. I thought it was a meh presentation, but it doesn't upset me or worry me or anything. Tons of games to play and they'll always be releasing more stuff.

 

I would hardly call what certain users in this thread are saying “arguing”. Arguments are usually supposed to be coherent.

 

yeah I actually enjoyed the direct plenty but I knew as soon as I looked in this thread that I’d be wrong haha

 

I can't imagine seeing that Animal Crossing reveal and being mad at the direct

I really like the story of the origin of the master sword and the villains too.

 

Am I overstating the anger that the thread is actually experiencing? Yes. Is there a shred of truth to it though? Always.

 

I was really just making an observation, not really arguing.
