That was my main thought

 

a ton of the shitiness was the motion controls were just not as much fun to play though. so I'm curious if it'll play better with the analog sticks.

Will I pay $60 for it? No. If they are smart and sell it for $30? Might pick it up.

 

I don’t think layup ports are as easy as they seem with the capacity they’re working at right now

 

I'm sure they're coming later because it would be ludicrous for them not to be coming, but announcing Skyward Sword and not Wind Waker and Twilight Princess makes less than zero sense

 

I’m assuming skyward sword was easiest for them to make so it’s coming sooner, idk if there was any favoritism

 

Mario Golf, Skyward Sword, Star Wars Hunters, and the physical of Hades has me hyped. I still haven’t played Hades so I’m glad I waited it out.

 

I liked a lot of the stuff, it was just way too much stuff to throw into one preview. I can’t remember half of the names of those games.

 

If it was Skyward Sword AND Twilight Princess I would have been like "okay, this makes sense", but just Skyward seems bizarre and they clearly don't know their audience.

I'm happy with this Direct. Splatoon 3 and Mario Golf were more than enough to make me happy, which I guess makes me easy to please. I'm really looking forward to seeing the beautiful Skyward Sword artstyle in HD.

 

Absolutely not. WW and TP are just Wii U ports, they've done tons of those easily already. SS they had to figure out how to account for a controller peripheral that doesn't exist anymore and that the entire combat system of the game is based around. Would have been way easier to just bring over WW and TP.

 

Nintendo is so horrible at decision making and continues to rake in money

 

I guess I'm just thinking we know from Mario 3D all stars the N64 emulator is built. There's tons of rumors that Metroid Prime Trilogy is done. Galaxy 2 should be a layup with Galaxy 1 already ported. I'm sure there's plenty COVID has affected, but we're at the point it almost seems like they haven't worked on anything since it started and that's only smedium hyperbole.

 

Yup. And if it was WW + TP + SS I'd buy it. But instead they are just gonna charge $60 or $70 for a 10 year old game and I'm like...

 

I just want a Zelda collection, why is that so hard, Nintendo?

 

I’ve never played Skyward Sword so that’s cool. Splatoon 3 is all I can think about now but goddamn 2022 lol.

overall pretty happy with the direct especially because none of that stuff existed to me just a few days ago

Splatoon 3 and Mario Golf made me a happy Switch owner.

 

Also I’ve been looking to get new Joycons so I’ll pick up the Zelda ones.

 

Also, sounds like Breath of the Wild 2 isn't coming this year. Big, big oof.

 

they definitely know their audience. The audience is people like me who skipped the Wii U and in turn missed out on a generation of games. Mario kart, etc have all been great sellers for that very reason. skyward sword will be too, I’d bet
