I’m struggling with it too so far. I’ll often think I’m under a block but then jump up into nothing.

 

Picked up Mario Odyssey again this afternoon and it's great!

 

Weirdly, I rarely have this issue with Odyssey. Maybe it's the fixed camera angles.

 

As I've gotten older, my loss of video game depth perception has rendered some games unplayable

 

I’ve fallen off several times in 3D world due to terrible depth perception lol

 

I wasn't on here much when 3DS was the main thing, but I loved the 3D in Land for perception and whatnot

I feel like elsewhere I saw the 3D effect complained about a fair bit (in general on the system) but I always used it

 

Almost completed World 6 on Super Mario 3D World. While I can agree with the depth perception issues, I'm about ready to call this Nintendo's hidden masterpiece.

Every single level is such a little bit of joy which rarely outstays its welcome. What a bit of lovely craftsmanship.

 

Am I missing something but in the Super Mario Bros U Deluxe game, it doesn’t save after each level you beat, only after each boss? That’s kind of lame because now every time I die 5x I get sent back to the last defeated boss and have to keep beating the same levels over and over again. It’s not really fun having to beat the same levels over and over and over again and every time I get to the new boss level I’m down to one life and have one crack at it.

 

You can just press the + button and click save.

 

It was pretty bad on the OG 3DS, but often great on New 3DS

I know that...but once you die, it takes you back to last castle so the save is irrelevant

 

I'm not sure if I'm as in love with 3D World as I thought I would be, but it's definitely very fun and finally a game my fiancé will play with me other than Mario Kart and Party! She's actually asking me to play it more than I ask her, so I consider that a win

 

I was going to pick up 3D World, but it’s sold out everywhere near me (I’m a physical copy kind of guy). Instead I bought The Outer Worlds for PS4 since Walmart had it on clearance for $15. Considered the Switch version, but I heard the port isn’t the best with visuals.

 

my dad preordered me bravely default 2 for switch at best buy for my birthday on march 24th cuz of the preorder bonus and he had a best buy $20 rewards so 40 for bravely default 2 is not bad. i cant have until my birthday. i was going to buy it myself but since can't for concert tickets for my bday i asked for this instead

 

The depth perception definitely is taking some getting used to for me

 

Despite the visual difficulties, I'm having a ton of fun with 3D World, Made it to World 8 over the weekend. Still have to go back and collect some starts and stamps. Haven't even touched Bowser's Fury yet.

 

My 3D World shipped and was supposed to come Friday from Amazon and still hasn't shown up :(

 

Complain and get some credit. They usually have a release day guarantee.

 

Does anyone know what the icon of the cat bell means on the bottom left corner of the world map in 3D World? Is there a way to actually use items from the map?

 

Let's baselessly speculate what it could be.
