837 hours compared to 220 last year. Damn.

179 hours this year vs 116 last year, with March/April being my biggest spikes by far. Makes a lot of sense with the pandemic and Animal Crossing releasing around that time

If it weren't for this thread, I would think that was a lot lol. But yeah, I watch a tonn of TV so I'm sure it balances out against the heavier gamers in here

I just ordered a series x and it arrives Thursday. Will probably ensure this next year I have even fewer switch hours played (unless one of my desired leaks actually happens)

that said, I don’t even know what I’m going to play on the Xbox or how their online library works. Too bad TES VI is still a few years away.

    1029 hours. I had 531 last year.
My wife replays Three Houses a lot. Hades, Animal Crossing, and The Witcher 3 are the games we play together every night.
    Edit: Age of Calamity too

Mine was very similar. 820 this year and 240 last. It was definitely partially because of me avoiding studying for my board exam and partially because of the pandemic. There was a point where I didn’t really want to focus and watch TV episodes, so I would throw YouTube videos or Twitch streams on in the background while I played my Switch.

150 hours, and last year was 9 lol. I got it for Xmas last year. I switch off between my Switch and PS4. Though I give more attention to my 4.

I played 402 hours. 69 in March, 111 in April, 75 in May. Thanks Animal Crossing haha.

Uhh my August through December, 8 hours total. The burn out was real. Am itching to start playing shit again lately though.

“I think humans are wired to experience joy when we throw a ball and hit a target, for example. That’s human nature. But, when it comes to video games, I have some resistance to focusing on this single source of pleasure. As human beings, we have many ways to experience fun. Ideally, game designers would explore those other ways. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad that there are studios that really home in on that simple mechanic, but it’s not ideal to have everybody doing it just because that kind of game sells well. It would be great if developers found new ways to elicit joy in their players.

Beyond that, I also resist the idea that it’s O.K. to simply kill all monsters. Even monsters have a motive, and a reason for why they are the way they are. This is something I have thought about a lot. Say you have a scene in which a battleship sinks. When you look at it from the outside, it might be a symbol of victory in battle. But a filmmaker or writer might shift perspective to the people on the ship, to enable the viewer to see, close up, the human impact of the action. It would be great if video-game makers took more steps to shift the perspective, instead of always viewing a scene from the most obvious angle.”

Great game, I would play it on the other consoles if possible. I'm sure it's patched up and running smooth on Switch by now but still better off on PS4 or Xbone

Less open world-ish, more linear and turn based, but also very goid

Yeah, I just got my series x in today, so it’s downloading as we speak. I was recommending as a potential open world game?

It’s great. It’s not an overly long game, nowhere near as long as something like The Witcher 3, but it’s definitely a worthwhile experience.

Excited to see what Obsidian does with the sequel, if it gets one.

Xbox have SO many western RPG franchises to their name now. I can’t wait for what’s to come.

It's outstanding. Just like @333 GANG said, not too long but is very well written and has beautiful visuals

I don't know if I'd really call Outer Worlds a straight up open world game honestly, you can choose the order you do things but it's pretty linear
