Haha yeah I was always a fan of the artwork and enjoyed watching friends play it and picked up the controller for them a few times, but never owned it. I think I'll be doing that next

I wonder how easy it is to hack a Wii to run Dolphin emulator and just play that way with my GCN controllers

 

Wind Waker is the best Zelda

 

The Wii U version will almost definitely be out next year for Switch if you don’t mind waiting

 

The Wii is not powerful enough for that I would guess. However, it supports GCN discs, as you probably know. It very much is a GCN in fact.

 

That definitely would be ideal! Playing with gamecube controllers in HD would be awesome.

Although, I'm loving my Pro Controller I got recently so I might like that even more

 

I never finished WW, I wasn't too into the whole sailing around thing

 

It's fine. It's fun, but not essential.

Wind Waker is really good but it’s mid tier for home console Zelda games for me. That being said it’s a 9/10 game

 

get one. you can play almost every Zelda on it

Got WW running pretty damn well on my Macbook, pro controller connected thorough bluetooth. God damn this game is fun right away.

 

I'm gonna have to try that. Did you use OpenEmu? That's what I use to run my 60FPS Mario 64 ROM and it works great with my Pro Controller. Haven't tried a gamecube ROM yet, but I see the app supports Gamecube games
