If only I had the funds. Ive snuck it onto the wishlist for my birthday in a couple of weeks, we'll see if anyone takes the bait.

 

Up to 23 stars in Galaxy. This game is a delight. At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, Galaxy alone was worth the 50 dollar price tag.

 

Closest you can get is quickly flipping your joystick top to down while hitting the jump button on down

 

Out of curiousity, do you use a pro controller? I hear people saying they couldn't imagine playing it without joycons but I just love the feel of my pro controller. I've never played Galaxy before heh

 

Seriously, and they were apparently inverted in the original from what I've seen, so it's very weird that Nintendo decided to mess with that when the majority of these games are just emulated ports

 

I don’t remember if they were or not but I do know that I keep doing wrong now

 

I've used the joycons and my SN30Pro+. It's actually better with a more traditional controller IMO. It's a little annoying having to re-center the cursor all the time but now I do it without even thinking about it.

I’ve put ten hours into this thing already. I’m so addicted

 

Took me so long to get the secret star in the castle moat in M64 lol. On the bright side, I feel like it made me master the camera

 

I feel the camera is fine 95% of the time because whatever area you’re navigating has clearly been designed with the default camera angle in mind. It’s not much different in that way from 3D World.

 

The tricky part for me was getting back to that default camera angle after screwing around with it so much lol but yeah that's fair

 

After getting the first power star in Galaxy, I can tell already that this may end up being a close second behind Odyssey for me. Gorgeous graphics, unique gameplay, and I have no issues with the pro controller motion controls; the controls handle great. Glad to finally try this out

 

I don’t think I’ve ever played a rogue before. Dunno if I want to try Hades, but loved the previous titles they did.

 

Loving my first play through (pretty much ever) of Mario 64. Camera was weird at first with being new to the game, but it’s definitely tolerable now.

 

Decided to buy Hades even though I won’t play this weekend. Wanted to get it with the current sale price in case I jump into it later this week.

 

Oh Hades is on sale? Well shit

 

Damn, almost finished a run in Hades.

 

I beat Bone Hydra for the first time today and it was so goddamn satisfying.

 

If you’re on the fence, I’m not even a rogue guy and the first ~2 hours of Hades is one of my favorite gaming experiences this year

 

GIve it a few more runs and you will be scoffing at Bone Hydra.




I have off fridays and saturdays for work. I'm also in South Florida so I don't leave my damn house unless it's for work or to go grocery shopping because of Covid. Spending all day playing Hades then capping the night off with Mario Galaxy has been fucking excellent.
