I'm just curious as to how dual-screen will work and what its primary use will be.

 

I could see it being like the Wii U. Maybe the new dock registers the Switch even if you're in handheld mode?

 

I guess most would use the dual screen when playing ds games that require it, where you would usually use a stylus

Jealous of those who are seeing their preorders ship already! I'm at least glad Amazon still says "Friday", I know some Amazon customers don't have a date listed at all.

 

Mine still says Friday as well. They usually ship it the day before in all of my experiences.

 

can someone explain to me, an idiot, why this is good to hear? is it cause it means more potential N64 and Gamecube games on the Switch easier in the future?

Nah the best handheld of all time is still currently the Game Boy line

 

My Amazon order hasn't shipped yet.

 

It will live on when they release the :*NEW*: DSwitch XL Lite Pro

 

With them discontinuing the 3DS maybe they’ll put a larger focus on the Switch.

I know the 2DS still exists but them pulling the plug on one handheld may be a sign that they will develop future handheld franchises for the Switch.

 

They haven’t made 3DS games for a long time by now

 

I always thought 2DS and 3DS games were same minus the handheld you put them in.
