I’ve also enjoyed Nintendo announcing games that would be out the year they’re announced, generally. All they have to do is show a small amount of footage and slap a “fall 2020” release date on it. I usually have no problem waiting, but it’s becoming annoying that we haven’t had a major direct since September of last year and we currently have nothing to look forward to.

They have said that they’re done with announcing games that are far out, so that’s what we’re not seeing those kinds of announcements. As far as fall/winter games are concerned, they will come. They might legitimately not know yet because of the pandemic.

Sony and Microsoft are giant conglomerates, Nintendo is not

I know and they should be able to announce games coming this fall already unless they think a good amount may be delayed until next year, which is what I’m afraid may happen with such little news this late in the year.

It is a major bummer that we now have nothing confirmed to look forward to from Nintendo other than the second Pokemon DLC.

  8. Only played paper Mario for about 20 mins but it's gorgeous. Some good cheesy humor. The battle system is cool and could be really fun depending on how complex it will get. If they get really complex then each battle is a mini puzzle and that would be a lot of fun.

Got my Switch delivered today... 7 year old daughter thought it was stupid, minutes later we're going back and forth playing Super Mario 3 levels laughing together at how bad we are at it. This is what I've been looking for in a system for the last two years, having gone through Oculus Quest, XBOX One, and PS4.

Any tips for additional hardware or games to buy when it comes to local multiplayer with the family?

Mario Party! Gets a lot of hate for the limited boards but it’s a blast and highly accessible for all ages

Yoshi is a fantastic co op game, you can choose mellow mode which takes away the time limit so you can explore at your own pace

It’s more of the same. By the time the main game ended, which I did enjoy, I was kind of over it and the DK stuff felt like an obligation. If you’re still thirsty, go back to the well.

+1 on Mario Party and Mario Kart, they're super fun. I think you would have a lot of fun together playing Snipperclips too

Oh and there's always Smash Bros!

It’s on sale and looks cool. It was made by a Taiwanese developers and takes places in Taipei which is interesting. Looks stylish as fuck too.
