The only thing that worries me (also previously mentioned in this thread) is that the costs of making those games will probably bump up as well, since it would have to look good on a TV now.

I guess if indie developers like Supergiant can do it with 12-man team it is plausible to work around with. And if they do bump the price to 60USD from 40USD, I wonder if people will be able to justify the price.

 

I'm still hoping I can get fully through my first playthrough of Majora's Mask before Friday

 

I'm doing the same thing! Just finished replaying OoT and started MM last night. I somehow skipped this one when it first came out so I'm trying to knock it out before Friday.

 

Which version are you trying? 3DS for me

 

I did read today that there will be some games that are handheld-only on the Switch. So there is that.

I wonder longterm if all new Nintendo games will be expected to be at that graphical fidelity, or if there will be "lower tier" experiences that are priced as such. For example, are we now going to get Zeldas and Marios at the rate that they came out on the Wii U/3DS combined, or does the whole thing slowdown due to the demands of modern games? I haven't played a Link Between Worlds, but I know it is supposed to be great and it would be sad if this merger of the platforms means you can't get some of those smaller experiences because you end up having to wait 5-6 years for Zeldas like you did on console.

Or until 11:30 or 45. I have it pre-ordered and paid off and there will only be 22 units at the GameStop I go to. I won't have to wait long so I'm in not in a hurry

So I got through and finally gave them my debit card information (I used PayPal when making the preorder because it was faster and I didn't want to lose it). So now I'm just waiting for a confirmation email. But seriously, never preordering anything big from GameStop.com ever again. I'll take off work and go to the actual store from now on lol

My wedding is coming up in 25 days so all of my money is going to paying that off. Which means I won't be buying a Switch for a while.

I am living vicariously through you all. And playing all the Zelda I can on my 3DS to try and hold me over.
