debating whether to take $20 for my wii u mario kart right now

 

I'm really starting to get worried about Breath spoilers.

 

I'm basically avoiding the video game internet except for this thread and treading very very lightly on neogaf. I don't think I've seen a single thing outside the commercials and presentation trailer and I already feel like I've seen soo much

 

As someone who doesn't want Zelda spoiled but wants to stay in on the hype in this thread (not sure when I'll be getting a Switch) do we think there will be a specific Zelda thread started for the game when it's out?

 

wait, can the Switch use bluetooth headphones? I could have sworn yes but in the new NVC episode they say no.

edit: quick google said no sadly.

The last time I checked for Zelda was some days ago. Wasn't really spoilers but they showed an enemy/enemies that I found really, really cool and decided I would rather encounter the rest on my own.

 

I am so good at dodging spoilers because I am very bad at using the internet.

when the dev last mentioned the switch port maybe a month ago it sounded like it was still a while out, my guess is summer at the earliest

which is good, i don't need that kind of temptation from zelda

 

I heard they were implementing 2 player mode (or might be reading the wrong things). Good chance this version will have that?

i'm hoping updates for Switch games are as frequent as on Steam (well maybe NOT that frequent).

 

i don't see why co-op can't be in eventually but PC updates take priority before they port the features over to the console versions and co-op is still a long ways away. so maybe but almost certainly not when it launches.

I wonder if they'll decide to speed up the navigations (menu, dialogue) for the next release. I understand that part of the charm is how chill af the entire game is, but after a few months of playing the pace started to bug me. I felt if it was just a bit faster, I would have been perfectly satisfied with it.

Also those horrible puns/jokes when you catch a new bug/fish. They were amazing.

a friend of mine that works at walmart is taunting me

 

So the other shoe finally dropped for me today. Got an email from GameStop saying something was wrong with my payment method and they couldn't process my order. Also said if I didn't fix it by noon Wednesday then there will be "a delay in processing" my preorder. Whether that means it just gets delayed, or it gets given to someone else and I have to wait for the next wave, I haven't the foggiest. Weird thing is that I set up my payment through PayPal, everything is correct over there, and my card has an authorization on it. And of course, I didn't find out until after 5 p.m. so I couldn't call today to get it straightened out. I knew GameStop was going to screw me somehow.

Pray for me, fam.

 

That sucks. Does Gamestop have a history of pulling shit like that?

 

Way too many PS3/PS4/PC/Wii/Wii U games laying around to justify buying anything new for a long time, but it seems like the hype could make it a good investment in the future (certainly with a more robust selection than a Wii U). I wonder if handheld gamers (particularly Japan) treat this as the natural heir to the 3DS, since that seems to be what can make it the success it needs to be for the company.

 

I don't know about this specific thing but they have a storied history of shitty business practices. In any event, I'm just confused more than anything else. Hopefully when I call tomorrow I can get it straightened out.
