Grey - I'm not lively enough for the neon.

Also, I'm interested in how much more I'll play this vs my PS4/Xbone which is plugged into the basement in the TV. With it's portability, I wonder if it'll get more use or the same. Was there any specs for battery life off-the-dock?

I think they advertised 2-6 hours. Gamexplain tested Zelda with WiFi on and max brightness and I think they got 2.5 hours.

 

Zelda on max brightness and Wi-Fi on is 2.5 hours, Nintendo was previously saying 3h for Zelda so that's probably around the range depending on brightness.

 

Would've gone neon if I had the option but GameStop only had gray left when I got it.

 

generally surprised the gray one's seemed to be the one's that were readily available when people went to preorder

 

I would've gone grey if I were planning to primarily be the only one using it, but since my hope is to use this thing as a party game machine, I like the separate colors to differentiate whose controller is whose, especially since the system itself knows what color the controllers are. Wish there was a pack of yellow/green available at launch for that reason.

 

You can buy the neon controllers separately at GameStop.

But they're opposites of the ones bundled with Neon Switch.

Grabbed the last grey one at my Gamestop. I think I would have liked the neon version better if the joycons were either both blue or both red.

 

Grey. I would have maybe chosen red or blue if the whole unit was only one color.

 

I don't like the look of the red/blue joycons at all. Looks like a weird developer-only test console or something.

 

Yeah, agreed - I would have liked to see a color, but both the same color. But then they're adding one more SKU.

 

also this is why the extra ones are for the opposite sides. so you can buy that pack of two and just make them both blue or both red

 

My guess is they made less neons so they went faster in the mad dash for preorders.

 

I went grey, but kind of wish I had gone neon. I had planned on picking up the neon joy-con pair, but those seem to be hard to come by at the moment. I'm also in the midnight pickup camp with Best Buy. SO CLOSE

 

Wanted neon but they only had grey. Still wanna pick up so neon ones but sucks that I probably won't be able to have full sets in one color

 

weird my experience was the opposite of everyone: headed to my Gamestop at open the day after pre-orders started (so Saturday) and there was 1 grey left and 8 neon.

 

Gray: 13 (with 2-3 wanting neon)
Neon: 4

Just because I have nothing else to do.

 

I got gray. It's all they had left when I preordered.
