Wargroove is great, and has enough different things going on vs Advance Wars.

But yeah AW is hard to top. Days of Ruin was pretty amazing too. Some of my childhood was spent dreaming up possible improvements for an AW sequel.

The one idea I had that I really liked is a sniper - an infantry unit that deals massive to other infantry, but very weak to tanks. it also had a good like of sight in mountains for FOW maps.

i have wanted to try Wargroove but ive heard a lot of shit about cheap deaths coming in 30 minutes into a match and quite frankly id rather die

 

Luckily nobody hacked my account yet. I also enabled 2 factor just to be sure. I hate I it though, it's so annoying, especially when it doesn't allow phone numbers.

 

I have heard that too. It happens often with indie-ish games in genres like that, in my experience. Turns out balancing requires time and money.

 

It probably has something to do with defeat via a commander loss. AW didn’t have to deal with that.

It happened to me a few times, but I play a lot of Into the Breach so it didn’t annoy me as much.

 

Every Fire Emblem game has defeat via commander loss and you don’t hear that about those games, though. Maybe it’s something else? I haven’t played Wargroove though so idk.
