its wild to me seeing people online complain about a sparse release schedule for the year. there are so many fucking games to play that came out last year alone im thankful for a chance to feel like im catching up

I create content for some of your favorite artists

One has removable controllers and can be docked to a tv. The other is a handheld

there’s no solid line here, im using it very loosely. but afaik roguelike is a complete reset when you lose, with roguelite you get to save some sort of progress (significant ones, like permanent upgrades) after each run. in that sense i don’t think roguelike actually exist now but games like BoI, Slay the Spire the unlockables introduce variety as opposed to permanent upgrades that help you win the game, so i tend to lean them more toward “like”.

Rogue Legacy leans more toward the lite because the upgrades make a huge difference over the next runs.

What the fuck I knew people were hoarding and buying/reselling Switches, but I'm seeing joy cons going for $99 on Amazon. And I'm starting to notice some subtle drift every now and then. Hasn't been a problem yet, but caught my character in animal crossing slow walking toward the wall.

I'm not sure if I like this Trials of Mana demo or not. It's kinda cool but it also feels like a budget game. I wanted to get Tales of Vesperia, but then I figured I would wait until Trials, but now I'm not sure anymore. I just need another JRPG to hold me over until Xenoblade Chronicles now that I'm close to finishing/giving up on DQ11.

tbf aside from Xenoblade i don't really play a lot of action JRPG games, prefer turn-based more so it wasn't for me to begin with. I looked at a clip on Youtube and it does look better than when I played it for some reason

@The Lucky Moose i think we either need to change our usernames, or get a second account now

i also played half an hour of Bravely Default 2, the UI and controls feel messy but the game is really tough which i thought was awesome

Combat was fun, the customization between skills and stats looks great, I like how the menus are designed along with how they implemented the 'ring' menus.

It looks really fun to me.

I feel overwhelmed by JRPGs right how. There's too much to play

It just feels very unpolished in a lot of ways. Then again it’s a demo. The combat does feel solid though.
