gamexplain played zelda with wifi on and max brightness and got 2 hours 28 minutes of battery.

 

That's pretty heartening for the average battery life of playing that game, then. Nintendo did say it was around 3 hours but if that's how much charge they got from playing it that way, it might be even longer than 3 hours if you turn down the brightness and turn off the wi-fi.

 

Remaster is one of my favorite podcasts. Those guys are great.

 

Inventory management, and the game being too overwhelming are the only common cons I've been reading.

The praise it's been getting is crazy, so far.

 

I'm really confused always when people knock a game for being overwhelming. Like, I totally get it, and I've been overwhelmed by big games many times in the past (Fallout IV was probably the most recent example for me). I'm already getting preliminarily overwhelmed about Mass Effect: Andromeda, and it isn't even out yet. But if I were a reviewer I would never knock points off a score for it. Not saying any people have done that yet (these aren't reviews yet, obviously), I just have seen it done in the past.

Also I was wondering myself how inventory management would fare now that the second screen is gone. Not surprised there are some issues, especially considering the amount of weapon and armor drops that apparently occur.

 

The thing I'm happiest to not see is a single complaint about the liveliness of the world itself. I've seen no comments about barren areas or open fields just for the sake of map size.

 

This game just keeps looking better and better

 

holy shit that looks so fun. reminds me of the basketball game in little big planet 2.

 

This is the kind of gameplay I wished Skyrim had when I first played it.

 

Yeah I feel like I'm finally going to have the same experience that people who like Skyrim got.

I'll go Zelda, Snipperclips and maybeeee Shovel Knight. I'm still kind of iffy on playing Shovel Knight without a real d-pad...but I do love Shovel Knight.

 

I think I am more than likely going:

Zelda
1,2 Switch (wish it were cheaper, but my son will be able to play with me so it's a no brainer)
Snipperclips
Shovel Knight
and maybe I Am Setsuna

i hope i can find a pro controller at either bb or gamestop on release day. decided i kind of want one.

 

Zelda, 1-2-Switch, and Snipperclips are the only two things I'm guaranteed to walk out of launch day with. Likely getting a second set of Joycon as well. I will likely skip Shovel Knight because the 3D, D pad, and second-screen inventory management make the 3DS version the definitive one for me.

 

my history of racing games start and end in Mario Kart (I did play Speed X 3D on 3DS), but I'm hoping there'll be at least a demo or something. I'm not 100% sure high speed racing games are my thing.

and forgot Setsuna will even be released. I might skip that since I'm going to be grabbing Disgaea 5

 

Nice, I'll get Snipperclips when I've finished Zelda.

 

are you an f-zero fan? i assume not haha. this game seems to sort of scratch that itch. we'll see!
