I’d obviously be down to have those on the Switch, but I felt like the gamepad was PERFECT for at least WWHD (haven’t played TPHD) and I’d miss it

 

This + 3D world

So many Wii U games have been Ported at this point, why not these games that would sell so many copies?

 

Well we've got news of 3D World now at least lol

But yeah like I just can't fathom why they went to all the trouble of lovingly remaking Wind Waker for a console that barely anybody bought, and it's just languishing there still to this day. Now they have a monster-selling system where lots of people were just exposed to Zelda for the first time through BotW and Link's Awakening, you'd think they'd want to keep that renewed excitement in the franchise going.

 

I never got into 3D world. I played it for about an hour and that’s it

 

3D World is my number two 3D Mario for sure

 

i bet Mario Maker 2 is gonna get a very cool update or two amidst all of this

 

3D world is my second favourite 3D Mario behind Sunshine ofc

 

I never played Sunshine, Galaxy 1/2, or 3D World, so I will 100% buy a Switch when these come out.

 

give me a Mario game package plus a Mario sports package and it be a god tier year Nintendo would win it all

 

Can it be the 35th anniversary of Wii Sports already

 

I don’t know if anyone else is a fan of the comic, and I don’t know if it’s been posted here yet, but hell yes!

 

I have a Lite but like I only own Cuphead and My Friend Pedro and idkkkk right now I don’t see many other games that interest me. Kinda makes me regret having gotten one.

 

But there are 1000+ games on there and I'm sure you could find a lot more games you don't even know about

 

Holy fuck those 3D Mario remasters are a must-buy, especially if it's all in one package. Same with Paper Mario if it's like the old ones

Hell, give me remasters of the first two of those games too, especially TTYD

 

Finally playing Dragon Quest XI

Just getting to the Zwaardsrust area. It's felt kind of slow so far but I'm still enjoying it

 

If you dig Cuphead then I would say Hollow Knight and Celeste are essential.

 

Hollow Knight is incredible. I haven't gotten through Celeste yet, but I enjoyed what I played of it.

 

My gf literally just recommended me Celeste! I’ll give both a whirl. Is Hollow Knight anything like Castle Crashers? Or am
I in the wrong ballpark entirely. I love LOVE castle crashers

 

I loved Castle Crashers. I know I'm in the minority here, but I had a hard time getting into Hollow Knight. They have some similarities as far as combat goes, but different ballparks as far as the actual play goes.

 

Tbh I'm not familiar with Castle Crashers so maybe someone else can answer that.

Hollow Knight is a beautiful metroidvania. Super hard, but incredibly satisfying. The whole world/atmosphere/art direction is very special and memorable. I think pretty much everyone in the thread would back me up.

haha I thought the same thing. I agree with everything you said about the game. It just wasn't for me.

 

Yes. The Wii U gamepad was fantastic for both of these games and made the dungeons even better. Also, Pikmin 3. Basically, the only three games I remember the Wii U gamepad being useful. Maybe that's why we haven't seen these titles come to the Switch just yet.

 

Man, I'd be so excited to play Sunshine and 64 on my switch.

Never played Galaxy, actually. That'd be cool to check out. I do still have my Wii tho

 

I feel like I'm the only person that didn't love Galaxy lol
