I was playing through the Breath of Fires on the SNES online thing and have been having a lot of fun with them but it’s crazy how much more clunky the translation of the second one is

I think ignoring the other side of things, business deals/partnerships, reality, etc just because you want something is ridiculous.

i figured out why. the new (to switch) dlc came out so they’re trying to get people to buy the base game haha

game is sooooo damn good on the go

 

i think we both agree we don't know the in and outs of their deal with sony, so why is your possibility more the "reality" than mine? being gun ho about shooting down a video game prediction using an imaginary deal is also ridiculous, but even worse its pretty fucking lame.

honestly i wanted to avoid the personal stuff but honestly this is not the first time youve used your constant negativity about everything to signal how much more well informed you are than everyone else. looking forward to the next time you get called out for being fucking rude and you apologize to everyone for the umpteenth time before you do it all over again.

games are fun! play them and talk about them but sorry, any provocation that contains both “Atlus” and “Banjo Kazooie” with this level of intensity just reinforces the stereotype that people that play video games are unconscionable losers

 

Two things:

1. You're the only person I'm being negative to right now, all my other comments recently have been either jokes or positive stuff about games or music in various threads, check my history if you want. You may want to take that as a sign that the way you phrase things or come off seems intrinsically aggressive or "um actually, as a matter of fact," while waving your finger in my face.

2. I've grown enough to acknowledge I don't have to apologize for things like being right or to people like you and thankfully this situation covers both of those areas.

Sorry, but saying you’re immune to criticism because you are right is not growth and is in fact the exact polar fucking opposite of that. Steps has been nothing but pleasant and kind in every interaction I’ve witnessed from them in years on this site and as a passive observer: you seem like an absolutely dickhead in this exchange and should be embarrassed

My comment about how you should stop taking video games so seriously as to go on unhinged diatribes to strangers on the internet means I am too passionate about video games? They’re great, I love playing them on my downtime, and they could never make me as mad as they seem to make you. Hobbies are good but, like, focus that energy into maybe making somebody’s life better rather than berating them for their views on something as inconsequential as a JRPG franchise. I generally like you but grow the fuck up

 

its actually pretty rich of you to toss out those complaints at me because i cant think of anyone on this thread who seems more intrinsically agressive and your argument could not have been more "um actually, as a matter of fact". literally wtih anyone else this would have been the most normal of conversations, ive never gotten into it with anyone here in this thread but youve been pretty rude this whole exchange that even in your comment about your growth you managed to find space to take shots at me.

 

BotW 2 has to be coming this year. It’s the only way Nintendo can really compete for attention with a new console launch.

I was theorizing about what the situations between the franchises and the companies could be and even stated that we all clearly didn't know the ins and outs. You saying "they have 0 right to" and all that other stuff about holding onto video game properties came off more like entitlement than anything else.

I wasn't mad in the first place. It wasn't my intent to "shit on your wants" or to be "fucking lame". I acted in response to your tone and your approach. Our viewpoints clash and that's that. We don't have to be friends or get in each other's way. I'd be more than happy to just move on, you don't have to like me and I won't engage with you.
