I haven’t seen a lot of it on PS4 but I don’t think it’s a GREAT. It’s blurrier than it probably should be and the framerate can take a hit when you’re running.

Also 2D to 3D and back transition option is has been executed absolutely terribly.

But it’s not a bad port either.

Blurry games tend give me headaches and tired eyes. That’s why I think it’s a shame if a game is blurry when nothing about indicates that it’s unavoidable.

 

I would say the same thing about XC2 btw

 

I still need to go back and finish XC2 ugh I have too much to play

 

DQ XI on Switch looks great. Nowhere near XC2 levels of bad.

That said XC2 is a fucking GOAT game I'd even play it with PS1 graphics.

did you play the final or just the demo? I thought the resolution improved between the two versions.

 

I did. Maybe it did a little, but it’s still a very noticeably blurry game that on the surface has no reason to be one.

 

I remember playing that game mostly in portable mode and being surprisingly happy with IQ. Hmm.

 

I only ever played handheld mode though

i literally never mentioned framerate with Witcher but i am not surprised you failed to read something shithead. game looks like shit. it costs $60 and looks twice as bad as other versions of the game that cost three times less.

 

For me like 99% of it. I would personally never play a new Pokémon game. I played the Lets Go game because it was straight nostalgia.

 

Games would never get ported if they were priced the same as older versions though

 

I just assume when you talk about a ported game looking bad for on a switch it's about frame rate.

Dragon Quest looks straight up beautiful in handheld. if that were the ceiling for visuals with third party games on Switch id be totally content. im impressed at how the unique textures like gloss on some wardrobe doors and shit made the way over with the port. it's a perfect port imo

 

I do wonder how much the recent trend of games looking better in handheld mode has to do with the Lite

idk why you're coming after the one game ive complained about visuals on in the history of my posting here, for a game i guarantee you didnt even get close to finishing. it doesnt just look not as good as PS4, it looks very bad. it should not have been full price. Skyrim on Switch at full price is a better value proposition and that game is almost a decade old.

I'm just saying I've read very little who said that hindered their experience, you come in knowing they had to stretch things thin to run. People pay full price for the portable experience it's well worth it

 

Witcher was never going to be as good as the other versions, it's a miracle that they even managed to port it. If you're surprised that's it's not as good then I really don't know what to say
